Reaching the ore in Akçaalan is the last 40 meters.

In Beyağaç district of Denizli, in the Akçaalan region, the Filiz Mining company has resumed excavation at the Akçaalan Chrome mine, and they are just 40 meters away from reaching the ore.
Beyağaç, known for its chrome mines in Denizli, hosts one of Turkey's oldest and globally renowned chrome mines, which Filiz Madencilik started excavating about 2.5 months ago. With approximately 120 meters of excavation completed and chrome ore being extracted, there are only 40 meters left to reach the ore. Currently, 10 people are employed in the chrome mining excavation, and once the ore extraction begins, they plan to extract and export around 500 tons of chrome ore per month. The number of employees at the mine will also triple.
Ismail Kısa, a mining engineer who grew up in Beyağaç, mentioned that he comes from a family with a mining background, and after completing his university education as a mining engineer, he worked at various mining sites in Muğla and Denizli. He joined Uşak Seramik in August 2022, where he worked to improve the company's mining operations. In December 2022, Uşak Seramik acquired 50% of Filiz Madencilik. Ismail Kısa expressed that Filiz Madencilik owns three of Turkey's oldest and globally renowned chrome mines.
Kısa mentioned that they began excavation work at the Akçaalan Chrome mine in June 2023, focusing on both open-pit and underground mining. With a team of 10 personnel working in two shifts, they are currently preparing the site. They plan to enter the ore area after 40 meters and aim to produce around 500 tons of marketable products per month. Ismail Kısa also highlighted their ambition to excel in mining operations, contribute to the national economy, and create employment opportunities for their employees, aiming to employ approximately 200-250 workers across their various mining sites.
